Fun. (in London) and Hayley Williams (in Los Angeles) covering ”Somebody That I Used To Know.” This made my day for many a reason.
Amazing. Nate looks so emotional. And Jack playing guitar and piano at the same time (at parts).
This is a good cover! I wish Haley could have been there but it’s alright. And wow Jack, can you be more talented?

I just got back from the show and I am sweaty, and achy, and tired, but I love you all so much that I am going to explain the majesty of this show while it is fresh in my mind.
So the concert opened with Miniature Tigers who were so sweet and kept thanking the audience , even though we weren’t as crazy as we should’ve been. They even stayed out in order to talk and take pictures with people after their set and until Fun. was done theirs.
So Fun. started the show with a bang! Nate practically jumped on stage and they jumped into singing “One Foot” which is a great start. Nate is just such an energetic guy and he was basically jumping all over the stage. I hardly have any pictures of him standing still. So they played a few songs before officially saying hello to the crowd and we basically screamed, jumped, and threw our hands up for these boys. Eventually Nate just stopped talking and said he’d start up the set some more.
He dedicated “All The Pretty Girls” to someone who is named Stephanie who’s birthday it is (happy birthday Stephanie!) and that was adorable. During “We Are Young” he got the girls and boys to sing different lyrics during Janelle’s part. During “The Gambler” I decided not to sing along too loud because the song is too beautiful, and I had a perfect view of Nate almost the entire way through.
During “Barlights” (this will explain that earlier quote better) he wanted everyone to be silent and then we would build up the line “and I feel alive” until we were screaming it at the top of our lungs. Obviously people were stupid and didn’t listen so the first time it happened Nate said, “Don’t be that fucking guy” which was funny, because come on! Don’t be that fucking guy! Then the second time was much quieter but still people in the back so he said, “It’s always someone in the back.” Eventually is got quiet and we started singing the line and it was wonderful!
I really enjoyed how much he engaged with the audience. At the start of their set he said that “If you have never been to a Fun. concert, there is one rule: sing along as loudly as you can, and if you don’t know the words just listen to your neighbour.” I love when the band tells you that they want you to sing along, it is the best. Now every time I listen to one of the songs, I know that I have sung along with the boys and it means something a little bit more now.
During the middle of the show, Nate, Jack, and Andrew had a cute little broment where they were talking about who came up with the nickname “The Ront” that they have for Toronto. I still believe what Jack said, that Andrew came up with it, but you can’t blame Nate for trying. I’m sure it was somewhat of a group effort. Nate kept saying how much he and the boys loved Toronto and it just made the night so much better. I’m sure they say it about plenty of cities, but his sincerity was wonderful.
Now, the best part of the ENTIRE night was the encore. They sang “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by The Rolling Stones and then they sang “Take Your Time (Coming Home)” to end the show. That last song took 20 minutes to finish because there was a 10 minute period of the crowd going crazy and Nate, Jack, and Andrew just sitting there and soaking it up. Nate tried to start up the next lyric a few times but the crowd was too loud and could not be silenced!
Then Nate was completely sweet and told us how incredible we were for being this excited and crazed and said that they were going to give it their all for us on the rest of the song, and they did not disappoint!!! One of my favourite songs and they played it beautifully.
Nate was so adorable through the show. He kept smiling and gave this look like, “Are you people even real? How are you singing my lyrics?” Basically just looked so grateful and happy that the people at the show were such great fans and knew every word and it just looked like it baffled him that this was possible. It made me love him even more.
The concert was incredible. It was so exciting and people were jumping all over the place! The crowd cheered so loud and long for the boys because they deserved it to much! I just want to give them all hugs and thank them for the incredible show.
